About this Project
Packaging Design for local beverage company, Mada Jy.
Overview
Mada Jy was birthed from homesickness. The owner, Adja Mada Diakite, left West Africa (Cote d’Ivoire) to continue her education in France and started to miss her family. She began preparing a ginger limeade recipe her family used for years to remind her of home. When she shared the drink with friends they instantly fell in love. They quickly discovered other uses of her recipe utilizing traditional French flair. She was immediately sought after to supply her friends and the entire college dorm with her family's ginger limeade. Mada Jy's premium beverage selections offer zingier, spicier, and fresh nonalcoholic beverages rooted in festive traditions. The company outgrew the previous look and desired a fresh design that reflected its West African heritage.
After the success of the Ginger Limeade, the company decided to release two new flavors, Sorrel and Tamarind. The packaging was updated to reflect the individual style of each flavor with elements of the original design. The goal was to create a branded and cohesive look for Mada Jy's beverage lines.
